Actelis to Demonstrate at NTCA How It’s Delivering Universal Broadband Services to Underserved and Unserved Americans

BBA enables significantly faster broadband, new services, increased revenues and greater customer satisfaction.

FREMONT, Calif., February 9, 2012 - Actelis®, The Broadband Acceleration Company™, will be showcasing at the 2012 NTCA Annual Meeting and Expo in Booth 310 how the company is enabling delivery of universal broadband to residential subscribers. Visitors to Actelis’ Booth #310 will have the opportunity to learn more about the company’s award-winning product line of Broadband Accelerators (BBAs), a solution that represents a paradigm shift in the way carriers address universal broadband and the digital divide, which Actelis believes is no longer a challenge, rather an economic opportunity. Selected for its vision, leadership and thoroughness, Actelis’ line of BBAs was a recent recipient of the 2011 INTERNET TELEPHONY Product of the Year Award, demonstrating that the BBA can have a significant and positive impact on the growth of universal broadband.

On February 14 at 7:00 AM PT, Prakash Nagpal, director of solutions marketing at Actelis, will present “Universal Broadband is Here!,” a session that explores how carriers can immediately deliver broadband services to millions of US residential subscribers. This includes subscribers deemed “too far to reach” or where the bandwidth does not meet the threshold for broadband as defined by the US government or the requirements of broadband as determined by the applications customers use. Mr. Nagpal will demonstrate how carriers can reach their entire customer serving area as well as bridge the digital divide with minimal CapEx and little to no OpEx to the carrier by leveraging the existing copper infrastructure. In addition, he will explore how carriers can drive increased revenues by delivering new services that provide an enhanced customer experience.

“With Actelis’ BBA, we believe carriers have a pragmatic solution that will drive increased revenues by offering additional services such as IPTV and over-the-top video. Subscribers, even those in remote rural communities, can also access telemedicine services and video applications like Skype, which bring people together and foster economic growth and prosperity,” said Nagpal.
