Actelis Networks Announces New Additions to Senior Management Team and Board of Directors

FREMONT, Calif., May 13, 2009 - Actelis Networks®, the leading global supplier of Ethernet over copper solutions, today announced that Stephen Cordial has been named the company’s new chief operating officer (COO) and chief financial officer (CFO). Cordial’s appointment is effective immediately.

With its Metro Ethernet extension, T1/E1 line replacement, and mobile and IP DSLAM backhaul solutions deployed worldwide, Actelis continues to exploit its Ethernet in the First Mile (EFM) leadership position during this challenging economic climate. Actelis is ideally positioned as service providers continue to revitalize their aging networks to next-generation IP-based networks.

“Actelis’ Ethernet over copper products make perfect sense to our customers in all economic environments as they easily and economically leverage network operators’ existing extended copper facilities, creating a near immediate return on their investment,” said Tuvia Barlev, chief executive officer and co-founder of Actelis.

The close of 2008 brought Actelis its fifth consecutive year of growth, and Barlev believes that Cordial’s in-depth financial transaction and management experience in start-up, high-growth environments for venture-backed companies will play a critical role in Actelis’ long-term success and growth.

“Steve has nearly 30 years of experience in the high-tech and telecommunications industries. To help further fuel Actelis’ growth trajectory and stay focused on profitability, we believe that adding a senior-level person of Steve’s caliber and talent was an extremely important move for the company and our customers,” added Barlev.

Cordial, a Stanford graduate who earned his MBA from Santa Clara University, will also join Actelis’ board of directors.

In other news regarding Actelis’ board of directors, the company also announced today that Ghia Griarte, managing director at Saints Capital, was appointed to the board. Griarte brings a strong background in technology and communications to Actelis. She received a dual MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, and a master’s in engineering management from Robert L. McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University. She earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and computer science at the University of California at Berkeley.
