Actelis Networks MetaLIGHT Solutions Added to GSA Schedule
Inclusion on GSA schedule allows federal, state and local government agencies to quickly and easily purchase and deploy Actelis' MetaLIGHT solutions
FREMONT, Calif., August 26, 2003 - Actelis Networks®, a leading supplier of solutions that enable high performance, symmetrical, broadband services over local-loop copper, today announced that its MetaLIGHT® solutions are now on the Government Services Administration (GSA) Schedule (GS 35F-4803G). The MetaLIGHT solutions are available to federal, state and local government agencies through Actelis' partner, LTI DataComm, a veteran-owned, small business and a leader in providing strategic networking services and solutions to the federal government.
Actelis' MetaLIGHT solutions enable organizations to use their existing copper infrastructure to provide up to 67 Mbps of fiber-quality broadband services. Actelis' MetaLIGHT solutions are currently deployed throughout the government market, enabling quick and effective deployment of broadband services.
"Our government customers face a continuing challenge of satisfying the growing demand for the expedient and reliable transfer of mission-critical information over existing infrastructures," said Leo Miller, president, LTI DataComm. "The Actelis MetaLIGHT solution arms them with the ability to simply and quickly implement broadband power. LTI is committed to offering our customers the most innovative and powerful broadband solutions on the market, and the Actelis MetaLIGHT family of products helps us meet this commitment."
"We've already experienced a tremendous amount of success with government entities, and our inclusion on the GSA schedule will continue to fuel our growth in the market," said Bruce Hammergren, vice president of North American sales, Actelis Networks. "With support from LTI DataComm, we are looking forward to continuing to help fuel the growth of broadband networks for federal, state and local government agencies."
Based on Actelis' patented MetaLOOP technology, MetaLIGHT systems provide high-speed, fiber-quality, broadband services over the existing copper plant. MetaLIGHT systems are designed to complement a fiber network by allowing organizations to use their existing copper plant to deliver fiber quality broadband services to locations that only have access to copper. Simple to deploy without the need for loop pre-qualification, MetaLIGHT systems provide far superior rate, reach and reliability compared to other products on the market.
