Carrier Ethernet Expert Joins Actelis Networks’ Management Team

Former President of the Ethernet in the First Mile Alliance and Member of the Metro Ethernet Forum Board of Directors to Lead Actelis Networks’ Corporate Marketing

Fremont, CA, May 31, 2006 - Actelis Networks®, the leading provider of Carrier Ethernet over Copper™ networking equipment, today announced the appointment of Craig Easley as Associate Vice President of Corporate Marketing. As one of the leaders of the Ethernet in the First Mile standardization effort, and a former Board of Director with the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF), Mr. Easley is a well-known evangelist for Carrier Ethernet over Copper. In addition to his role at Actelis Networks, Mr. Easley is now leading the MEF's Ethernet Access market development efforts.

Before joining Actelis, Mr. Easley was Director of Service Provider Marketing at Extreme Networks, and led the company's entrance into the carrier market. While at Extreme, Mr. Easley held key leadership roles with both the Ethernet in the First Mile Alliance and the Metro Ethernet Forum.

"Craig has been a key contributor to the MEF and has recently accepted the responsibility of leading our Ethernet Access initiative," said Nan Chen, President of the Metro Ethernet Forum. "His past experience as the President of the Ethernet in the First Mile Alliance makes him well qualified to lead this important effort and continue to help to further our mission of accelerating the adoption of Carrier Ethernet."

He was also integrally involved with the IEEE as the liaison between the 802.1 and 802.3 Task Forces. Prior to joining Extreme Networks, Mr. Easley worked for several major networking companies including Nortel, Bay Networks and Network General.

A Washington, DC native, Mr. Easley received his Master's Degree in Computer Systems Management from the University of Maryland, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
