New Release of Actelis Networks Award Winning MetaLIGHT 1500 Expands Market for Broadband Services

Next Generation MetaLIGHT 1500 system allows service providers to increase rate, reach and reliability of their broadband service offerings

FREMONT, Calif., June 3, 2003 - Actelis Networks®, a leading supplier of solutions that enable profitable, carrier-grade, broadband services over local loop copper, today announced the availability of its next generation MetaLIGHT® 1500. This newest release of the MetaLIGHT 1500 solution includes many new features including simplified installation, enhanced modem capabilities and optional redundancy which offers carrier-grade 99.999% availability. This new functionality allows service providers to greatly extend the rate, reach and reliability of their broadband services with a low capital investment and faster time to revenue.

Based on Actelis' patented MetaLOOP™ technology, the MetaLIGHT 1500 system provides high-speed, fiber-quality, broadband services over the existing copper plant. The MetaLIGHT 1500 is designed to complement a service provider's fiber network by allowing them to use their existing copper plant to offer fiber quality broadband services to business customers who only have access to copper and to provide transport to accelerate the deployment of DSL and wireless broadband networks.

MetaLIGHT 1500 is simple to deploy without the need for loop pre-qualification. It provides far superior rate, reach and reliability compared to other products on the market and allows service provides to maximize the available revenue from customers throughout the Carrier Serving Area (CSA) and beyond.
